Who is ICAR Foundation?

ICAR Foundation is a non-governmental organization set up in 1991 and legally registered in 1992, having as main purpose of activity the provision of medical, psychological, social and legal assistance to those persons who, for political reasons, experienced the communist detention regime after 1946. ICAR Foundation is the first and the only organization in Romania that sets out and implements such a program. Besides the centre in Bucharest (opened in 1993), ICAR Foundation has two more other rehabilitation centres: in Iasi (opened in 1995) and in Craiova (opened in 1998).
